Product Description
The first book of Day by Day Armageddon took us deep into the mind of a military officer and survivor as he made a New Year's resolution to start keeping a journal. The man kept his resolution and brought to us the fall of humanity, day by day. We see the man transition from the life that you and I live to the prospect of fighting for his very survival against the overwhelming hordes of the dead. We see him bleed, we see him make mistakes, we witness him evolve. The highly anticipated sequel to the bestselling underground cult classic, Day by Day Armageddon begins where the first novel left off. BEGIN INTERCEPT
Armies of undead have risen up across the U.S. and around the globe;there is no safe haven from the diseased corpses hungering for human flesh. But in the heat of a Texas wasteland, a small band of survivors attempt to counter the millions closing in around them. INTERCEPT COMPLETE Day by day, the handwritten journal entries of one man caught in a worldwide cataclysm capture the desperation--and the will to survive--as he joins forces with a handful of refugees to battle soulless enemies both human and inhuman from inside an abandoned strategic missile facility.
But in the world of the undead, is mere survival enough?

Rockin' Sequel September 8, 2010 Jen K. (Austin, TX) This sequel is NOT just more of the same. It is a good act II to our protagonist's story. The protagonist's voice, which was the most compelling part of the first book, is still there. The scenarios change, and new characters join the story. It's a good read, although the setup for the next book seemed a little pat. Hopefully the next book will be able to overcome that.
Bourne's Zombie Diary Continues! September 7, 2010 Rheul (NJ) I'll keep this short and sweet. J.L. Bourne has done it again. His highly anticipated sequel to "Day By Day Armageddon" delivers on every level. If you are a fan of Military fiction, this book is for you. If you are a fan of apocalyptic fiction, this book is for you. If you are a fan of straight up horror this is a book for you. If you are a fan of all three you are in for a real treat! Bourne's "there and back again" journey delivers everything you would expect after reading the first book in the series and even delivers a little something unsuspected that I hope to see developed a little more in the third book. We see some true character evolution through out the story. It's a real winner. Action, horror, drama. It's got it all. Check it out.
Day By Day Armageddon Beyond Exile September 7, 2010 Shamus Greene I was fearful that the author would slip into a "sophomore slump" and that the first novel had been lighting in a bottle. There was no reason to fear. While the story continues to be told in the first person, the story's scope, breadth and depth are expanded in it's sequel. Much like the first novel, this is an easy (and fun) read. While other zombie stories are being adapted for the screen at an alarming rate, this one needs to really get a look from the appropriate Hollywood producers. I nervously anticipate the third novel, as this one ends on a note that suggests the story will make a huge leap across genre, into something completely unique. I can't wait to see where J.L Bourne takes us. While most zombie authors and filmmakers end in the same cliched un-happy ending that spells out our ultimate and permanent doom, I sincerely, hope this story finds at least a somewhat happy ending. Can't wait to read the next entry!!!
A great sequel September 7, 2010 the Rambler (Atlanta, GA, USA) I was worried when I picked up Beyond Exile. I loved Armageddon and was truly worried that the follow-up may not live up to expectations. I should never have doubted the author. Beyond Exile picks up where Armageddon left off and continues to deliver the action and drama in a unique and well written style. What I appreciate most about JL Bourne's books on the zombie apocalypse is their attention to the humanity of the characters. The military lingo and style of the 1st book continues here and is (somehow) even more embellished and believable. The author goes through great pains to paint a colorful picture of some deadly technology and it all helps the reader gain a greater understanding of the main characters - their surroundings and their tools.
Another great piece of zombie lit. from JL Bourne.
The best zombie books EVER! September 7, 2010 E Z (Florida) J.L. Bourne has done it again!
Let just say that I loved the first book sooo much!! The second book delivers the same page turning survival suspense mixed with Zombies and Surprises around every corner. I am sure I will read it again! Thank you J.L. Bourne! Now get to work on book 3! Don't make us wait 5 years for the next one. We might not survive the long enough to read it. PS .. I see a large dust cloud coming from the north. I wonder what it is.. gotta go
